Beautiful hike. Worth the effort. Heed the cautions at the end of the foothills before you scale it. If your lungs survive the trip up that never seems to end, your knees will take a beating down the other side. Wear hard soled hiking boots with support and the rock hopping on the way down will be easier. TAKE walking poles and lots of water! Also pack a windl breaker - you will likely bake at the bottom and freeze at the top!
Like their hiking guide pamphlets say, Do Not underestimate this hike. It's not particularly long, but the majority of the trail is over extremely rough ground. Sturdy shoes are mandatory and the constant stepping up/down over large rocks can be brutal on the knees. The view is absolutely worth it!
It is really the best point to get a spectacular view. But it only depends on the weather you are taking the picture. The time I took the picture, it has a huge cloud block the sun. So in my picture, the reflection of the sky is not blue. Also you don't have time to wait for the clear sky as it took me four hours to get back from the top
Breathtaking view, however the round trip hike was excruciating.
